Today, a nickel won’t get you very far.

But back in 1923. five women founded Mount Sinai with donations of an average of just five or ten cents. Their refusal to accept the status quo, combined with the generosity of their community, came together to build a hospital founded on the principles of social justice and better care for all.

We wanted show how far Mount Sinai has come over the past century by celebrating their humble origins with a campaign that centers on how it all started - with a nickel.
